Not my plant but was photographed at the Northwest OS show last April on on the sale table of one of the vendors. A fairly common meristem, I think, and I thought someone might have a good guess:

No idea what it is (of course...), but I like it. The yellow "picotee" edging is special.

Could be one of the Colmanara Wildcats, but there's a lot of them, and I suspect sometime the same clone name is actually used for different clones and/or there's a lot of mis-identified plants out there.

(For example, I have a noid I believe is most likely Wildcat 'Carmela', but it's flowers are not spot on the same as pictures I've seen and do vary quite a bit, and if you look at 'Ocelot' and 'Leopard'... or it could just be an unamed commercial clone!)

for the past couple of years, the red wildcatt of choice has been "Bobcat" (I think).

Gorgeous. When I saw it the first time I read your blog post about this show (this morning) I immediately thought Wildcat and possibly Wildcat 'Bobcat' though that is harder to say for sure.

There does seem to be more variety in some of the clones of this than I would expect. I have an orchid I bought just labled 'Bobcat' (no grex name) and I've been told it matches some of the pictures in OrchidWiz of Wildcat 'Bobcat' but mine has zebra stripes of yellow on the red/brown and others I've seen are like this picture with just a yellow outline on the flowers

I'm told, Rosie, that meristems like this can start to show variation, especially if a series of them is done, and that very often after a series of meristems the plant sometimes looks very little like the original plant.

In the past I've purchased meristems and found that this seems to be true. That they look very little like the original, but perhaps that was just my lack of growing skill.
