2ft like lavender, and right up close catpiss..
I'm also struggling with this one.

This one is called Oncidium Rosy Sunset "Pacific Sunset"
I love this plant as well. They look stunning under bright light. They scent is just great also!
Please be more specific as to what you mean by you are struggling with the plant so I can help?

Its about the size of my hand. Including the flower spikes.
The flowers are about half the size of my pink nail.
This one seems to be handling my newbie blunders much better than the others with psuedo bulbs.
I have a brassia that doesnt like me at all...
Any clues?

Given the size, I would say oncidium twinkle, although by looking at the pictures first, I thought oncidium tsiku marguerite.
Again, what kind of issues are you having with oncidiums or brassia???

Sorry, got to disagree with that. Maudiae is a specific cross between Paphs callosum and lawrenceum. If you don't know it's that, you can call it a Maudiae type.

i agree with paphs. the green ones can be called maudieae types, the maroon lipped white dorsal ones with stripes and spits are coloratum types, and the dark wine red ones can be called vinicolour types

hmmm, i should have you buy me a blue one and ship it over! jp lol orchid addict talking here

I like trouble free but I still want to give them the best care I can...
These are all my very first orchids besides phals... crazy nervous.
I think I'll call the paph Lady Maudiae...
The white one is pure white with yellow.... what to call it...
The miltonidium sunsets look remarkably like mine... especially rosy... I'll call it Miltonidium Sunset 'Maybe'
That scent is strange but it's funny to watch people lean in real close for a better whiff...
I totally would... I love sending other hobbiests what they want if it available locally...
unfortunately this was the one and only phal like that.

Unfortunately though, there are so many hybrids that look almost the same, you basically cannot find the name unless you have it already. Paphs are also mostly seed grown, so that adds to the problem of identification unless you have a name tag.
Just call it Maudiae Alba, which is a generic name for this kind of paph.

Too bad I saw this after I named it...lol..
Up to 3 months??? Are you sure?
I got this one near the end of August...
It seems to be going strong...
That makes me sad... aside from my two phals its the only one still in bloom..

Wow.. I never suspected I would such detailed umm... what do we call these? It isnt an ID without a tag... A very good speculation...
I'm so in love with this plant... When I bought it it was a single spike in a mainly plum and brown combo..
When I got it home I realised it was actually a bunch of flower spikes tied up as one.. and one spike wa completely in bud still..
I was struck by how intense and stunning it was as it opened in brilliant orange.. and was enchanted by it into its final colour stage. Which is the best stage IMO.

I thought twinkle had a fragrance? Or does that depend on the individual?
Essential the psuedobulbs shriveled instantly on all of them..
The least severe bein the twinkle and the most severe being the brassia...
On all of them besides the Sharry baby I noticed too late that the moss it came in was packed too high and lost a new growth.. rotted right at ground level... At that point despair lamentations abd self pitty ensued...
The orchids remained slightly shriveled and growth has halted...
I'm unsure what to do or provide for them to encourage new and resumed healthy growth..
The brassia kept shriveling... The one remaining growth has stopped... the main bulb looks like a raisin and a newly formed psuedo bulb never finished fatenning up. It went thin limp and floppy..

If none of you would mind checking back tomorrow I have a few orchids I added to "The Collection" and would love to share them and get your thoughts on possible ID's...
