Hello and welcome to the Orchid Board!

Stunning plant that you got there. I love the color and like you say it looks like a big and healthy plant.

If it did not have a tag on when you bought it, it will be pretty much impossible to identify it.

It is definitely a oncidium type of orchid, but it's most probably an inter-generic hybrid of some sort and pretty much impossible to identify.

One can always look around and find plants that look similar, of course. And in this case, I'd say that your plant LOOKS like some kind of Burrageara Stefan Isler type. That doesn't mean that it is though...

As far as I understand though most of these plants are cared for the same way and an exact ID is not needed to determine the suitable care.

Advice on that you need to get from someone else. I'm lethal with oncidiums and kill them off in a blink of an eye. You definitely do not want to take any advice from me regarding these beauties.

Enjoy it!

I think Silje has put you on the right path about learning for its care.

As far as the wrinkled pseudobulbs is concerned, it indicates that the plant has not been getting sufficient water, which can be due to underwatering, a damaged root system that is incapable of drawing in enough water, or a combination of the two.

I suggest unpotting it to check the root system, and move it into a medium suited to your growing conditions and the plant's needs.

Also don't worry too much about the wrinkled pulbs. They quite likely won't plump up again. It looks a generally strong plant to me.

I don't know about over your way, but here in Europe a problem to look out for with this type of orchid is that they often have a plug of old moss left in the middle where they've been potted on in to bark. Easy for the grower, but it needs picking out!

I find they are more sensitive to re-potting than phals, so if it looks fine except for a few wrinkles I'd consider leaving re-potting till after it's finished flowering/has new growth. When you re-pot don't worry about getting every single bit of old medium off: better to leave a few bits than break roots.

Beautiful color! Your oncidium looks healthy. I'd wait until the blooms are done before repotting. I have had the same issues, more wrinkles after repotting before the plant really took root and had new baby plants! Enjoy the blooms and good luck!

I agree on Miltonidium/Burrageara/Oncidopsis Stefan Isler as far as we can tell.

(don't ask me, the genus gives me headaches
