Anyone know the name of this Phal?

I'd be pessimistic on the chances to ID it… Sorry.

I'm doing determinations right now of my last acquisitions in garden centers, and the Phal I indulged into is almost nowhere on the net (2 pics) and is not RHS registered yet. It's depressing.

It is pretty much impossible to ID a Phal hybrid with no tag. So many look a like there is no way of knowing. Many Phals that are not labeled don't even have a registered name. It's a NoID. Some people name their NoIDs themselves but you have to make sure it is still labeled as a no ID. Beautiful yellow Phal though!

If the friend that gave the plant to you cannot identify it, then your chances are pretty slim. There are lots and lots of yellow Phals with rose-colored lips. It could be any one of them. Best to just enjoy it.
