Default Dendrobium would love some help

This one came from an orchid greenhouse, but its tag had gotten lost at some point and it was identified only as Dendrobium pink. I'm new to Den., so I'm interested in what type this is and advice about growing requirements. A name would be great, but close relatives will do, so I can read up on this really lovely plant. Thanks!

Nice healthy big plant. It is a phal-type dendrobium which means it has Dendrobium bigibbum in it. From the look of your plant, it probably has a LOT of Dendrobium bigibbum in it. Really resembles the species.
Native habitat is tropical Australia (Northern Queensland) and Papua New Guinea.
You need to grow it very bright and warm. Same temperature as Phalaenopsis but Cattelya level light. Unobstructed south east or west windows are the the best.
If you grow it warm and bright it would flower throughout the year. They grow slower in the winter but not really a true rest. Imagine you live in a beach resort in Hawaii, that's what it likes.

I have a very hard time with these because I don't have a warm and sunny window indoors. I grow most of my orchids inside and these just do not like the coolish winters we get here in Southern California. But if you have a nice sunny and warm window sill they are pretty easy and not really demanding.

Wow! That's fabulous - great find!

It's a Phalaenanthe section Dendrobium (Den-Phal). The canes looks like my Den bigibbum v compactum (less leafy than a similar sized Den-Phal hybrid I have) - but don't know if it's possible to say for sure if that's what it is, but if a hybrid, most likely there is bigibbum in the cross.

My Den bigibbum is mounted, so gets drenched daily much of the year, but there's little moss on the mount, so grows on the dry side. I have a small potted Den-Phal hybrid, that one I keep lightly moist most of the year (tho it doesn't seem bothered by occasionally becoming just dry inbetween waterings) - in winter, I allow it to dry slightly between waterings. Moderately bright light (mine have done well in both bright east and west facing windows). Intermediate-warm temps.

Beth, I bet I know exactly where you got that plant... I believe that I have the exact same one but unfortunately I have no tag with mine either, looks very healthy though! The last time mine bloomed it looked identical to your pics but the time before that the dorsal and lateral sepals were white from the tips to about a quarter inch down. I'll see if I can find a pic of the more white blooms for you...
