Default Den. sanderae x ????

Anyone have any idea what this dendrobium is? I bought it out of bloom and the tag was broken. It looks like it says Den. sanderae x ????? The plant without flower spikes is 13" tall from the top of the bark, and the flowers are 2 1/2 inches across.

It's a Dendrobium phalaenopsis type hybrid crossed with Latouria type. Real Den sanderae is a formosae type with large white flower and big lip from Phillippine. =)

Thanks for both of your replies. So wonderlen3000, the tag that said Den. sanderae x ----- is completely wrong?

http://www.orchidspecies.com/densanderae.htm It seems there are a few varieties of Den. sanderae. Some do look like they could possibly be a parent. The bloom shape does look like a latouria type, but I'm far from an expert. Don't know where the color came from... Maybe some other members may have an idea... good luck!

Someone in my orchid society says it looks like Den. Lavender Star. If you google it, I think he's right. Thanks everyone for your comments.

To add a bit further - If this is Den. Lavender Star the make-up is...

Den. alexandrae X Big Alex

I would tend to agree. I've seen examples of Big Alex that look similar but they tend to have long arching racemes like the bigibbum parent.

By the way...

Big Alex = bigibbum X alexanderae if you hadn't already guessed
