Default Inherited Orchids - no clue of ID

I am new to orchids and forums, so forgive me if I fail to do this correctly.

I inherited these orchids so I do not know the names of them. If someone can let me know that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

If the pics didn't work you might need to resize them to be smaller. I hear that is a problem with posting pics. Good luck!

I think the second one might be Psychopsis Papilio also called the butterfly orchid

Second is a Psychopsis, but unless you can show some fine details of what the column looks like or what the callus looks like and what the dimensions of the flower parts are (i.e. length of the petals and sepals, width of the petals and sepals), it would be very difficult to narrow down to the species level.

For all I know that Psychopsis could be Psychopsis Mendenhall or something.

The column is in the central portion of the flower.

The callus is on the lip of the flower closest to the column.

Here is a closeup of the flower parts I'm talking about. It isn't the best angle to tell what's going on, but you get the point...

I'll try and look for a better one, a bit later.

Psychopsis papilio is a species, btw. Be aware that the species name is always in lower case!

Psychopsis Mendenhall is a hybrid. Psychopsis Kalihi is also a hybrid, as is Psychopsis Mariposa. Be aware of the capitalization of the hybrid names - they are always denoted properly in such a way.

To avoid confusion, I highly recommend observing the use of the capitalization of hybrid names, and denoting species names starting with lower case letters.

Just to make my point in how it is not quite so easy to identify Psychopsis by just looking at a far away shot of the flower.

Here're pics of Psychopsis krameriana:

Here's a pic of Psychopsis versteegiana:
