What is this and how do I care for it? (oncidium? Dendrobium?)?
Got this at the farmers market today...it looks like some kind of oncidium but was told that it was a Dendrobium...I have never had one of these before and have no idea how to take care of it! And advise is much appreciated!!!
Looks like a Miltassia: a Brassia hybrid. I think it looks a lot like Mitassia Shelob 'Tolkien', but you can never be 100% sure without a label that some commercial grower hasn't produced something similar and not registered it!
Looks a very nice plant anyway! Standard Oncidium intergeneric care should do.
Thank you!! I have found that misting the oncidiums at least twice a day has kept them from getting wrinkly pseudo bulbs..I live in San Jose which is pretty dry...took me a while to figure it out...thought it was over/under watering...these oncidiums are so needy but worth it!! should I think about deviding it soon?it looks crowded, but I don't know anything about deviding orchids

It is crowded - how big is the pot it is in? I'd probably just pot it up myself - but if you do probably best to go up a couple of pot sizes - these can grow like weeds. You could probably divide it if you prefer - make sure any divisions consist of at least 3 older/mature pbulbs plus at least one new growth each.
