I'm intrigued... It looks like a little green duck with a crazy hairstyle!

Actually I keep wondering if it's actually a dendrobium?

Do you have any reason to doubt the part where it says "Bulbophyllum species"? It looks like a Bulb. to me, the give away would be the mobile lip, if you had the plant in hand.

No, no real reason to doubt. Just looked a little like a dendrobium flower to me. But I don't really know either group.

Many Bulbophyllums are still unidentified by taxonomists as are many Pleurothallids. This is to be expected.

Unfortunately, I can't help you with an ID. If you want it, I recommend buying it. If you're able to, I recommend breeding it.

If you have plans on breeding the species, buy two genetically unidentical specimens. Bulbos usually have a difficult time self pollinating.

From the way the flower looks, though, it appears to be very small flowered, so pollinating will be an extreme challenge. It can be done though. People have hand pollinated Lepanthes before, and we all know how tiny the flowers of many of them are!
