Newbie hello and Id question - Orchid Board

Hi all,

I am new to this forum it looks like a nice one. I live in a cloud forrest in Costa Rica, I have a hundred+ species ( thats the good news) I need some help on Iding them.

Hi & Welcome to Orchid Board!! How lucky you are to live in such a fabulous climate with all of those beautiful orchids! I grow quite a few ones from your part of the world - but not the two that you posted photos of.

Were these plants collected locally? Or were they imported? If they were imported, they might be Dendrochiliums:

Hi,
I have several hundred species Cats, STN, den, ticopilias, ONC, Max, lycastes, Paphs, (no Phals I am pretty much everything but) many I am still trying to ID. Where do I post them? in this thread or start a new one?

An orchid lover living in Costa Rica! How good does it get???

We'd LOVE to see pics of your 'chids. If they're species, we may have a better chance of helping with the ID of some, it's way too hard to do when it comes to hybrids.
