Intergeneric ID Help Please Male
Default Intergeneric ID Help Please

I bought this plant at Oak Hill this morning. It was the only one of this type and sadly had no tag. It is moderately fragrant and is a little over two feet tall including the flower spike. The flowers are about 2-1/2 inches by 2 inches. The largest pseudobulb is about 5 inches tall.

I am thinking it is some sort of intergeneric.

Any help with an ID will be greatly appreciated.

Here are a couple of photos one with the overall plant and one with a closer up view of the flowers.

Thanks,
Bob

This resembles Odontocidium (Oncidium) Wild Willie.

Can you contact Oak Hill and ask for a positive ID. Even if there was no tag on the plant they might know what they have stocked and be able to identify it for you, that way you could be 100% sure.

Hi Rosie,
Thanks for your suggestion.
Greg at Oak Hill was unable to help. After msarr's suggestion of it being Odontocidium Wild Willie, I've done some internet searching and it for sure looks like that. Of course, its not as good as a positive ID, but it will just have to join the couple of other noid's I have.
