Default Something Special or Just an Onc. NOID?

Is this something recognizable or just another nice Onc. NOID?

It has no fragrance and the flowers measure about 1-1/2" inches or so square.

Any help appreciated!

at first glance, I thought Onc. Sharry Baby but that's out if your flower has no fragrance.

Can you describe or photo the pseudobulbs and leaves, give length of infloresnce, is it branched? All that may get us closer to an educated guess

Looks a little like Colmanara Wildcat, only it's white instead of yellow. Might be a different variety. Could also be a Wilsonara. Whatever it is it's very pretty.

I'm giving it a couple more days to open more blooms to see if it does start giving off a fragrance and then I'll also post pictures of the plant itself to see if that helps with the ID.

Thanks for you feedback so far!

Well, one week later and a couple more blooms have opened. It does have a fragrance although it is subtle and seems to be more perfume-like then the candy fragrance of Sharry Baby.

The plant looks like this:

The blooms have changed slightly with the yellow in the petals fading and them taking on a slight, almost green cast.

Yes - it is over potted which probably is why it doesn't look its best, pleated leaves and all sprinkled in. Medium is shot too. It's in a 6.7" pot and I plan to move it to a 5.3" after blooming. Could be that my outdoor environment is too hot for it (?) as well. It isn't dying and it has produced 2 spikes but doesn't exactly look 100% happy...

I have 2 different Sharry Baby's that are currently in bloom :
'Sweet Fragrance'

and 'Mikasi'

It doesn't look like those and the only other Sharry Baby I could find searching the web is 'Red Fantasy' which it doesn't look like either.

Are there other Sharry Baby's out there??

While searching on Wildcat, I came across Bakerara. Could it be one of those?

Default Sharry Baby

Onc. Sharry Baby is widely available, with a number of clonal names. Here's Onc. Sharry Baby 'Oshima'. These photos are from a 2005 blooming; 100+ flowers on four branched inflorescences; intoxicating cherry-chocolate fragrance.

Tips of sepals and petals of your 'mystery' plant are more pointed than your Sharry Baby photos.

Narrower sepals and petals with somewhat pointed tips, lower flower count and arrangement on inflorescence on your plant may suggest Bakerara (Brassia x Miltonia x Odontoglossum x Oncidium).

Take a look at Bak. Truth 'Silver Chalice' for comparison.

You may never get a positive ID, but ITM, enjoy

Try Googling Oncidium Nanboh Waltz. I have the clone 'Boso Sweet' which is slightly different but the overall gizz is the same. Mine is also lightly fragrant. It has Onc. ornithorhynchum in the backgorund that imparts the fragrance. Barkarara Truth has huge flowers in comparison. Mine is just opening. I'll be posting it once all the blooms open.
