Question Orange/Purple Phalaenopsis and Pink Spotted Phalaenopsis

So, these were two orchids that I bought at IKEA. One is an orange/purple phalaenopsis and the other is a white phalaenopsis with pink spots. (I'll try to upload the pictures) I saw them one day and decided to buy them. I guess this was when I started looking closer into the world of orchids. I am an amateur when it comes to growing orchids and I have no idea what type of orchids they are. I would LOVE if anyone could help me get closer to an identification, even if it's not spot on! Thank you!

PS: The orange/purple orchid looks exactly like the picture on the cover of Orchids for Dummies (yes... I did buy the book! haha, I had to start somewhere! :P). Also, in the picture I uploaded you can't really see the orange in the flower but that's probably because of the lighting!

Welcome to Orchid Board! If the orchid didn't have name tag then it's pretty much impossible to guess the name of the plant. There are thousands of different hybrids and many look very much alike. Sorry. Never-the-less your orchids are beautiful.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I guess after reading extensively about orchids, the many species, their different names, colors, parentage, and all of that, it made me want to figure out the species of the ones I bought. That's OK though, I'll love them for what they are... "stray orchids"! haha Thank you for your answer nonetheless, Tucker85!

They are beautiful, and that's what matters If you follow the standard Phalaenopsis culture, they'll do just fine.
