thanks!... I always thought vandas were "flat" (sepals & petals on the same plane, with a very small labellum) like the Pachara Delight that you see in stores... it never occurred to me to search for this one as a vanda, guess I've never paid them too much attention... good to know.
I know vandas are not from CR, neither are phalaenopsis, dendrobiums or arundinas but you see them everywhere.

You're welcome. I'm sure you knew that Vandas weren't from CR, it was just that I was anticipating another CR native to identify and was surprised to see the vanda. I adore Costa Rica (as well as its orchids).
Luzonicas vary immensely. I grew and flowered about 50 once(flasklings) and most were completely different.
It was a cross between V. luzonica "Fuchs" and v. luzonica "Evelyn".
