Leptotes....? Or not? Male
Default Leptotes....? Or not?

Hi everyone,

I bought this the other day at an auction, nobody was entirely sure what it was, can you help? Prevalent oppinion was that it's a Leptotes of sorts. It's a miniature for certain, the biggest leaf seems to be about 3in long. It seems to be budding up as well...
Growing it under Leptotes culture at the moment....treading very carefully though as I suspect that it is fairly old specimen....
Thanks for any help!

Might be Leptotes bicolor. That's the only Leptotes I know that's that large.

Otherwise, there's a possibility it could be Brassavola nodosa, idk.

Looks like a Leptotes to me, and as for the species, you'll know more when it blooms.
I disagree about it possibly being a Brassavola nodosa. I have seen those before (including specimens) and they are much much larger plants than that.

I am excited for your plant to bloom. You have a specimen, usually I see these in a five to seven leaf cluster
