is this dendrobrium Primulinum & does it look ok?

Hi,

I am newbie to this forum as well as to orchid world.

I just bought this orchid very cheap (for about a dollar). The seller said there will be flowers by May.
Canes without any leaves looks like this.Have been worried since.
Umpteenth googling and a vague photo with seller had me concluded that it is a deciduous variety and most probably dend primulinum.

And whatever variety it is; does it look ok or too dried up?
Any help, pointers would be greatly appreciated.
