Over the weekend, I got one that looked like:

but I can find nothing like "Lipposceles" in the RHS database (
The International Orchid Register / RHS Gardening). Just shows why good labels (and vaguely intelligible handwriting!) are useful. Initially I was lead somewhat up the wrong trail, as their email said "another Paph" but they meant "Phal". The Zumas in the name made me think "Phal" as Zuma Canyon are big phal people. This is the problem with NOIDs, once they get that way, they tend to stay so.
Someone needs to work out a way of using DNA to figure out what a hybrid is. Probably rather challenging, but a potentially interesting tool nonetheless.
