Default Phal. 'Brother Spring Dancer' and Phal. 'Black Jack'?

Yup, I'll join all the people who haven't realized that one should only buy namned orchids and no Noids. I'll blame my inexperience.

So, I have two Noids that I suspect might actually be Hasids. I know it's close to impossible to ID phal hybrids due to the amount of hybrids, both Noids and Hasids on the market, but why not give it a try, right?

I'll start with what I think is a Phal. 'Brother Spring Dancer' (or at least its look-alike). After browsing the web I would say that at least 80% of the pictures portraying this hybrid looks very much like mine.

The other one I'm a bit more uncertain about, but I think there's a possibility that it might be a Phal. 'Black Jack'.

I love both of these hybrids whether they're Noids or Hasids and if non of you believe they might be Hasids then I'll just continue calling them ridiculous nick-names.

I would feel comfortable saying that the second photo is of Dtps. I-Hsin Black Jack (Phal. Golden Peoker X Dtps. Leopard Prince), not so sure about the other one.

I also have a Noid like your first one that for a long time I called Brother Spring Dancer. But then I came across photos of very similar, but differently named Phals. So now my plant has gone back to being a Noid!

I think it is a rather high possibility that it is a 'Black Jack' since I have found no other Phal hybrid as similar to mine as those.

There are several Phals that are similar to 'Brother Spring Dancer' and I've checked and checked again to try to see whether mine could possibly be a 'Brother...' or something else. For now i call it 'Brother Spring Dancer Look Alike'.

Connie Star, WhiteRabbit and Merlyn - thank you. I bought them because I found them adorable and I really don't care whether they're Noids or Hasoids (even though it would be fun if they were). They look so cute standing next to each other on the windowsill and blooming, their flowers contrasting each other nicely. The difference between these two guys and the rest of the "pack" is that they don't look like those kinds of Phals you find everywhere which is why I thought they might actually be Hasids.

Did I make any sense at all..?

Brother Spring Dancer or not, it certainly is of equestris lineage, so if it's like mine, you can expect a keiki once in a while!

And yes, you do make sense. The only Noids I buy are those that look very different from the typical mass produced Phals.

Um, what's a hasid?? I've been hanging around the forum for years, but this is the first time that I come across the term!

Now that you say it, big DUH to me!!

I think what kept me from realizing it is that it was written as hasid and hasoid, so I could not figure out at all what it could be!
