Someone gave me this very small plant (about 3 inches high) and it's labeled "Oncidium". I wondered if this could be a Tolumnia (think this is part of the oncidium family)?
She gave it to me last fall - this is the first time it's bloomed. Has another spike coming up.
Hope you can identify her. Thanks.
nross- you are correct, they were once called equitant Oncidiums, they are now Tolumnias. What you have there is a hybrid that will be almost impossible to ID.

Thank you everyone for your help. I can't believe how wonderfully these tolumnia are doing. All have numerous healthy roots and this particular one is getting another spike. I was a little afraid when I got them.
This is in a clear pot and the other three are on a small branch from our yard.
I love Tolumnias! Don't cut the flower spikes until they are obviously dead - mine just finished blooming and it re-bloomed three times off of the same spikes. Enjoy!
Thanks so much for telling me about reblooming. I had no idea. I really appreciate it. Still amazed that they are doing so well and may try to get more when it's warmer.
It's an equitant oncidium hybrid.
That's what it says in all my books and it shall remain so till the books deteriorate from age or the pole shift..
I need to fertilize all of my CATTLEYA Skinneri. The buds are coming in now.
