Hmmm interesting. I'm about 95% sure it's an orchid since I bought it at an orchid show and lost the name tag ;-)

It looks like a Pleurothallid, possibly a Platystele. Interestingly, a Google image search reveals that plants of this genus often grown in close proximity to US coinage!
