Question New NoID in Bloom

This little NoID has been growing like mad up the side of a tree near my house for a couple of months -- like it has a destination in mind and is in a hurry. I looked at it today and noticed something new -- it was blooming!

Pics attached. Characteristics: Pseudo bulbs, bi foliate, sympodial, single very small flower between the leaves. Habitat: sea level tropics in Guatemala.

ID suggestions?

Thanks,

Curtis

I can't help with the ID but it's a cool plant and flower. I even like the little grasshopper.

I think it is a Dinema polybulbon. Quote from IOSPE;Found from Mexico to Nicaragua and also in Jamaica and Cuba, in humid mixed forests on oaks as a miniature epiphyte or lithophyte, at an altitude of 600-3200 meters, as a cute dwarf species that likes a cool to hot environment.

Pretty sure that it's Prosthechea pygmaea (syn Hormidium pygmaeum).

Nice picture with the grasshopper.

Not Dinema polybulbon, though there are some superficial similarities the flower is definitely not right. I think Prosthechea pygmaea is correct, and I wish I had one.

Yes, I think you're right -- looks like an exact match.

The grasshopper was a nice bonus...loads of interesting insects here too, but my brain is already about to explode just trying to ID the orchids.

I believe RobS is correct, I was thinking Eria but finally ruled it out. Looking at the growth habit, I would never have guessed Prosthechea.

Hey, if you can find someone (meaning "not me") to handle the export process then I would be happy to share.

Thanks all for the ID help.

Thank you pics attached! These are some of the imported hybrids which still had semi-legible names tags (that I am assuming are correct).
