Ooh, definitely looks like a very strong possibility.

I did not think about it at the time, but I did have to unroll the petals/sepals to get a picture of the flower. I assumed they had just curled up that way because the flower was badly wilted, but the TE appears to grow that way.

Also, the location in which it was growing is heavily shaded...well back inside the mangroves...which I is why I had not noticed it before.

Good excuse to go for a paddle tomorrow and confirm.

Thanks much!

...and the fact that one of the TE specimens recorded on the Tropicos web site (William E. Harmon - 2123) was collected within about 30KM of where I live certainly helps the odds.

I just drove the road they referenced in their record a few days ago (if not, then one almost in exactly the same location).

A bit late to go for paddle now, but looking forward to taking a peek in the AM.

Turns out I have another Trigonidium egertonianum growing closer to the house and much easier to access...just bloomed today.

This one confused me a bit because it appears to be growing as a terrestrial, but I think that is just where the plant got deposited at some point in time. However, it seems quite happy there.
