Here are two macro photos I took of orange orchids I found growing wild at the Eagle Fern Park in Eagle Creek, OR. They are no bigger that an nickel. I'm not sure what type of orchid they are yet. If anyone viewing this photo should know what type of orchid they are, please let me know.
Thanks.
Very pretty, but I don't think it's an orchid. Looks to me like Impatiens capensis (Orange Jewelweed) or a close relative. Welcome to Orchidboard, BTW!
At first glance the blooms certainly look like some sort of slipper orchid, but it's not. The plant also is not typical of orchids either. I think Nat is spot on, or at least very close, with the ID.

Welcome and Hello !
At first glance the first picture gave me an image of phrags and paphs...but the second picture gave me a plant structure that is not of an orchid. The leaf is like that of a berry...the way the flower is attached to the plant itself and not a spike or an inflourescence...
Nat is right and Ron confirmed it.
