Thumbs up Turquoise Orchid..?

Ok. A friend saw this turquoise flowers on a state fair and we all are thinking: Is this an orchid? The farmer said it is. But he doesn't know the name. That's why I'm here. Please and thanks!

Yes, it is jade vine, Strongylodon macrobotrys. It is a legume, family Fabaceae (Leguminosae).

What an interesting color for a plant and quite evident that it is natural as the brown/gold contrast is present in the throat of the bloom (as opposed to all different shading of the same color ... /cough /cough you all know to which I am referring )
If the culture requirements are similar to the orchids you are growing, it would look nice among your collection for sure. I'd have no problem "fitting it in"

the flowers are from jade plant and I think the plant originates from Burma.

The entrance to the orchid house at the Puerto Vallarta Botanical Gardens is absolutely covered in Jade Vine.....its beautiful
