Got a few here. More concerned about the id on the oncidiums so I can get a more accurate idea of outdoor care here in 95-100 degree florida summers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Welcome to the OB.I have no clue as to their name. If you got them from a nursery they maybe able to help. The Phals like to be shaded all day and watered a couple time a week. As for the Oncidium, they can be a more hardy and can take a bit more light. I grow some on a tree in direct sun light and others in partial shade and they seem to do well. Being in hot and humid Florida is a plus for growing orchids.
Thanks. I wasn't sure about the summer temps with the oncidiums. I know the phals are fine with it, but I've never tried any orchids outside in fl simply due to space. But everything I've read about the oncs says summer temps 75-85 during the day. Hopefully I can get an id and find some info on the temps. Thanks again.
