I need some help on IDing these plants.....PLEASE!!!!!

My in-laws bought this plant at the San Diego orchid show a couple of weeks ago. The plant has no id tag and my in-laws never asked what it was, nor how to take care of it! Please Help!!!!!










I also saw this Dendrobium kingianum but I can't find any other pics online to find out what var. this is!?!?!?!?!
The flowers are very deep purple color and really stand out.

The first one is a Grammatophyllum and the second one looks like Dendrobium kingianum to me. The Grammatophyllum looks like Grammatophyllum scriptum. I love them. Have bought them 2 times and I keep killing them
