An Orchid or not?

Good Day

After an hour of searching for some native orchid species here in Manila (Baclaran to be exact near Cathedral) this one caught my attention. The seller claimed that this is a some kind of "Oncidium" ( I'm sure you'll laugh ) but I don't think so.

A 50 cents (Php20) purchase.



I'm not after the flower (as you can see those tail look-a-like is the bloom already - not so pretty) but more on the foliage.

Anyway I'm humbly asking for our fellow's opinion, suggestion or identification about this plant. Could this be an orchid?

Yep...it's an orchid, but it looks like an Oberonia to me, not an Oncidium. Not sure what species, though.

well, first off Oncidium is a new world genus....
