My son and family are in India, Indore, for three weeks and he saw this flower. I haven't a clue....

Not an orchid but a Hymenocallis not sure on the species. There are several species that are pretty similar.

It is a variety of a lily which generally flower in the monsoons. Unable to help you with a name.

RobS is right. It's a Hymenocallis, also called spider lily, summer daffodil, and other names. Don't know them well enough to ID the species though.

They are in the Amaryllis family, grow from a bulb and are of easy culture. I believe this is one of the more common varieties. A search at any company that specializes in bulbs would turn up the name.
I live in zone 9 and I believe these are not hardy too far north.
