Orchid found in Jura mountains France
Hi all,
While working for a customer in France in the Jura mountains,
i noticed a plant what i believe to be an Orchid.
Does annybody know which one it is,
Here are some cell phone pictures of it.

Looks like a pea. Very pretty, but not an orchid.

Not an orchid, its in the pea family, actually looks like a pea. Sorry, but still exciting.

I heard the one in the picture is an perennial sweetpea.
The yellow flowers cover the hill there in abundance,
not sure what they are.

Yes, the pea is a perrential sweetpea, Lathyrus Grandiflorus. A lot of people have them in their gardens near where I live in france (Lyon) and the seeds sometimes end up in nature.
As for the yellow plant, that's another common garden plant, Hypericum calycinum. Once they get settled they spread quite rapidly with underground stems, sort of like bamboo. My grandparents planted some 40 years ago and they regret it, it's taking over that area of the yard.

This is what I love about the orchid board - everyone is super friendly and helpful, even if its not an orchid. Thanks everyone for making it such a nice place to hang out
