Ok, everyone seems to agree with my answer which was going to be a Pea and probably a 'Sweetpea' as Camille said. I love having these in the garden for the pretty flowers in a multitued of colours.

Have you tried the annual version (Lathyrus odoratus) of it? Looks exactly the same (perhaps shorter stems) but the blooms smell wonderful!!

Ah yeah, mine are annuals so they must be that one and the fragrance is one of the things I love :)
