Hi there, this is a phalaenopsis I believe, and care sheets are available on the American Orchid Society website:AOS | Phalaenopsis

I'm not sure it needs repotting unless you wish to put it into a translucent pot so that you can see what's going on, certainly no bigger.

BTW, love your sign in name and your avatar - cute dog!

I agree. Don't put it in a larger pot or you could have root rot problems. If you feel that the potting media is breaking down, then re pot. Phals seem to respond well to re potting.

Looks more like a Mule Ear Oncidium to me. Are the leaves rather stiff and of heavy substance? Then it probably is not a Phal.

Doesn't look like a Phal to me either. I think it's the mule ear too. Not sure of the culture on it.

Definatly a Trichocentrum (formerly mule ear Oncidium). Considering how the leaves are growing mounting might be an option.

I bow to my fellow boarders superior Knowledge - never heard of Trichocentrum, but then I don't grow many Oncidium types. In that case try this for general care AOS | Oncidium

Thank you for the feedback (our dog Sky appreciates your kind compliment, Hedge). I did buy a mule ear bag baby from Lowes when I first fell for orchids almost 2 years ago. I thought that I had killed it in my first clumsy attempts. It is a nice surprise that it made it through.
