Ok I have a chid Lc. Jalapa 'Bill Teel' x Slc. Bright Angel 'Red Gold' is the tag info ....now what I wanty to know is HMMM does it have a name yet ....and does anyone have a picture maybe of what it would look like?

From what I have found on the parents so far it should be red or orange....

John,

Tom Larkin (Whippoorwill Orchids) only registered the cross last year, so his plant was the first, and may have been the only one to bloom so far...

So then my plant is a seedling from the cross most likely and could in fact be much different from the one he bloomed?
Does that mean that after it blooms I get to name it?

Not sure about that one but don't think so , if the same cross was done by someone else then a name could be added like Cattleya Jalapa Angel ' Pepper ' or ?? I am not good with understanding the naming hope someone that is shows up
