Dendro NOID

I saved this plant from a co-worker at the office who was obviously not giving a damn about the plant and the fact that it was sending out keiki's in an effort to survive. Two years later, she bloomed for me-- perhaps a "thanks for taking me home!"

The flower looks weird in these photos... its like the camera couldn't meter the color properly. Anyway, I love the shape.

Anyone have an ID for this plant?

Great rescue! It looks like maybe a bigibbum or hybrid.

I agree it could be a bigibbum (v compactum ?) or hybrid of -
It actually looks a lot like my Mini Zengyo - mine is bigger than this, but, yours could be smaller from it's previous neglect maybe

Great job. The little guy looks like he's really happy. Is that s/h? Did you got it like that from your co-worker or did you transplant as part of the rescue effort?

Thanks all for the input. I suppose I'll keep the NOID designation for this one. I wasn't sure if Dendros would be like phals, where a NOID is next to impossible to find the actual ID. I'll keep the suggestions you've made in my records for this guy though.

It is s/h. I have some gardening friends who are interested in s/h as I use it to grow many other plants, including but not limited to citrus and hippeastrum. Every plant seems to love it. When I rescued the plant I put it immediately into s/h and kept the water line close to the rootless plant. The plant quickly responded to even the slightest bit of care and grew roots quickly. Neither of us have "looked back" since. I've read that dendros don't like a lot of room in their pots-- that rot was a real possibility etc... but it has not affected this plant, probably because since rescued, its known no other method.
