Nice gallery. What is it with cats and orchids anyway. I've heard the story of "the cat ate my orchid" over and over. LOL. Oh well.

I would do just that if the plant is not severely dehydrated and I would put it in a place with a moderate light and temperature (and good humidity if possible). And wait for some new roots.

If it is dehydrated, put it in a bag (or enclosed transparent recipient) with something that could retain some moisture so as to create a very high humidity when closed. Every other day put a little bit of water in the roots, just a few drops, when they appear.

Resume:
1 - saturated atmosphere without water in the plant (it may rot), in a enclosed recipient

2 - moderate light and temperature

3 - patience

Good luck

You can show us the leaf and the rest of the plant if you are unsure
