Hi!
Yesterday my Hubby offered me this phal. It is gorgeous and I love it. But unfortunately it has no name. I've been searching, and it looks like to be an Phalaenopsis × leucorrhoda, but I'm not an expert. So please, could you confirm this? Pics att.

Lovely thing, but you'll never know for sure exactly what it is. There are tons of hybrids out there that look alike. Just enjoy it, and call it whatever pleases you.

lol Ron, you do have a sense of humor

I knew it was a long shot, but you never know...

Thanks for the tip, Kim, I shall name it - I give names to everything, including cars, guitars, etc... lol.

By the way, i have a phal mini that came labelled "Calimero". Is there such thing?

a google search for "Phalaenopsis Calimero" gets a number of hits phalaenopsis Calimero - Google Search

tho the RHS website gets no matches ...

I like how people "name" their noids - I am not very creative in that respect - they get descriptive names
ex - Phal No ID Farmer's Market, Cym Costco No ID mini green ...

Everybody's really friendly here, it's lovely Thanks for the welcoming, CTB.

WhiteRabbit, the person who offered me the Phal mini is not someone I'm really fond of, so it would be hard for me to give it the name of the person... I'm used to think of it as "Calimero", it's funny and may stick.
The other phal, however, is way more special and requires an according name.
As for the google search I sure did it on the Calimero before coming here, and many of them resembled mine, but probably is just a brand's name.

Thanks anyway to everybody, and even if the phals didn't get a new name, this post was nice to start talking with you!
