So, quite easily, if your plant has originated in Peru or Ecuador, it's name probably is S. nigripes.
To find out, you may ask the nursery where you bought it about the origin of the parent(s) of your plant.
If this question cannot be answered, then you will never know for sure
...
Just for example, you may go to
Stanhopea nigripes Rolfe 1894 - only to see there photos not of S. nigripes
but of S. anfracta and S. wardii, because Stanhopea flowers can easily be confused.
By the way, to try to determine any orchid species by means of what a human nose can smell of it's fragrance is, frankly, a lost endeavour ...
