Default Vanda Noid with partial tag

Couldn't pass this up from the Naples Home Depot for $25.

The tag was broken in three - a blank part on the wire, a missing part, and a piece attached to one of the roots. I've hopefully managed to attach pics of the plant, bloom, and partial tag.

If anyone has an idea, I'd really appreciate it. Something this beautiful should be called by it's rightful name.

My guess is one of the parents is V George Dillon.

The other I've been unabel to make a good guess - I've found a Thailand Delight and a Thailand beauty, but no "plain" Thailand. It looks like either an "IS" or an "MS" before "THAILAND". I thought maybe a KASEMS THAILAND, but Google couldn't find such a beast.

Thanks for any ideas.

V Gordon Dillon is a known vanda hybrid, don't know what to think of the Thailand. A little help for you anyway

Yes, it is quite difficult case. Maybe, and only maybe, don't focus too much on the word "Thailand". It coud be a reference to main producer in Thailand too.

Gordon Dillon could be ok but I am not sure the shapes of the flowers match. Have to check this out.

Phillipe and Carol,

Thanks for the help with my noid. Hopefully there will be a clue somewhere. I believe the Gordon Dillon, but based on pictures I've seen, it must be a cross with something.

Carol, you had asked me for a couple of favorites. This unfortunately is a demonstration of my lack of selectiveness. Every orchid in bloom is my current favorite. I have a couple of dendrobiums just coming into bloom again, and it's like seeing an old friend you had almost forgotten about. I must have been a golden retriever in a past life (their favorite human is whoever is petting them).

Wow and Thank You,
Looking at all characteristics except color, the V. Gordon Dillon X Vandachostylis Thailand looks like a perfect match. The color I'll attribute to a genetic thhrowback. I'll call this a 'tentative' ID for my personal use only! Thank you again.

Wow, that photo that rastafouni found in flickr looks remarkably like your flowers - differences could also be due to light, camera, etc.
Not to try corrupting any of y'all, but a number of years ago my brother gave me a nice label maker; I find that if I make a printed label on clear film, and attach it to an aluminum hang-tag (from the farm/garden store) my IDs are just never, ever questioned...I had a NOID cymbidium, beautifully in bloom; since it was potted in horse manure, I labeled it "Cymbidium Douqui" - won a ribbon at a show. But you didn't hear that from me...
