Can anyone help me in identifying this plant seen in Eastern Thailand in March?

Wow, looks quite distinctive but I don't know the answer. Are those flowers coming from the tiny looking bubs on the bark?

Yes - the flower was comming out of a very small leafless pseudo-bulb. I have just sent an email to two Bulbophyllum experts to see if they can identify it and will post their opinions when received.
