It certainly isn't as bad as a poodle groomed for show.
i hate pink poodles, and fake orchids, that arent anatomically correct!

I can't say I hate them, but the imediately look artificial to me and I'm not a fan of that.

Definately better than fake orchids. They have some fake Phals in my local Chinese take-away and they look really bad to my eyes.

There are some other blue orchids, although the most commonly available (and easy to grow) are the vanda hybrids mentioned above.

Dendrobium victoriae-reginae has nearly true-blue flowers. A very beautiful species. In addition, thelymitra crinita and possibly other thelymitra species are actually true blue. Absolutely stunning, and absolutely impossible to grow/find outside of Australia. But pretty to look at in pictures, nonetheless!

None, really. In my opinion, true-blue doesn't exist in the orchid world, and I disagree with what others said about Vandas (which are actually blue-violet to lavender).

However, there are dens that are a neat, rich purple color. I can't name any species/hybrids specifically, but given the enormous amount of hybrids out there, I'm sure you'll run into one soon.

Some near-blue orchids that I can think of are:

Vanda coerulea and its hybrids
Vanda coerulescens
Thelymitras
Rhynchostylis coelestis
Acacallis cyanea and its hybrids (the most notable being Zygonisia Cynosure "Blue Birds")
Bollea coelestis
Certain Cattleya/laelia species/hybrids (my mind's drawing a blank right now)

I know there are more, but as I said, I'm drawing a blank right now.

I tend to agree... what is called 'true blue' is to my eyes going towards the violet/lavendar in colour.

I still love the "blues" that you get... I just think that you won't find something the same blue as your died flowers in nature.

I have seen some white Phalaenopsis which were watered with a blue die i think which made the blue run through the white .
Not a fan myself ,but i am not a fan of artificial stuff anyway.
Each to their own .
