Hi Marion.

Pretty good here. It's been a fairly mild winter, bit cold the last few days but I'm sure it's been warming up. Mind you, when I say "bit cold" I'm sure some of the other members will say that minimum temperatures of 8 degrees Celcius overnight (46 or so F) in mid-winter isn't cold at all.

And while I want spring sooner rather than later, I still have a few cold bloomers to come out soon. My Den. aggregatum haven't even started spiking yet. Maybe they're skipping a year.

Cheers,
Aus.

It has been pretty chilly here up until a week or so ago. The hills area even went below freezing. A friend north of Perth even had ice on her windscreen!

During the day here it's been gorgeous with temps around low 20's. All my dens are spiking like crazy!

Sorry lol! Couldn't resist saying hi to a fellow Ozzie!

I've been growing dens for over 10 years so some of them are probably 4th or 5th generation! I have a lot of hardcane dens as they are native to Oz. Many of them are from keiki's and plants that I've split and split again. My dens throw a lot of keiki's and I pot them all up and pass them on to friends etc. I will take pics of some of them, I usually bring them indoors for a while when they bloom and they smell lovely.

I'm potting up keiki's and divisions at the moment as I'm having an orchid sale at the beginning of September, spring here.

If the quarantine laws weren't so strict I'd send some out to anyone here who wanted them.

Do you mean what medium do I pot them in? I tend to stick to one reasonably coarse bark medium, it's a good quality one. I mostly use those little black tube pots but sometimes if I've got a few to pot up I'll put them all together in a community pot.
