Default Help, unknown orchid ID needed

I have this orchid that's just putting out new growth, but I have no idea what it is. I'm not asking for anything specific, but a Genus or Alliance would be helpful, so I can look up its growth requirements. Can anyone help?

Rob, I have to agree, it's probably Encyclia x Cattleya. but that would make it a Catyclia.
Epicattleya = Epidendrum x Cattleya

Could it be an Epiclia or an Encydrum?

As others have noted, Cattleya alliance certainly. Quite possibly a Catcylia, which is the accepted intergeneric hybrid name for Cattleya x Encyclia.

Thanks for the ID everyone. I'll have to ask when its in flower to confirm that. Am I right in assuming that it requires the temp. differential that Cattleya orchids require to encourage reflowering?

Cattleya do not require a temperature differential to flower. Just the proper light level (3500 foot candles).

Encyclia are a sub-family of Cattleya so the care is the same.

Doh
That's me getting Cattleya and Cymbidium confused.

A Marshall cab???? If only. I actually have three guitars, but I don't practice nearly as much as I should. I think my orchids are taking over my life.
