Hello All,
I recently bloomed this plant that was purchased last winter under the name "Angraecum calceolus". I had no reason to doubt that, since at the time I had no experience with Angraecums. However, now that it has bloomed, I don't think it looks anything like any other calceolus that I found using Google image seach.
A. calceolus is supposed to have greenish-yellow flowers, but this one is pure white. Calceolus is supposed to have waxy flowers and this one is not. Also, this flower is larger than calceolus that I've seen on the internet and it also has a long flower spur that is attached further down the stem. This flower is about 1.5 inches in diameter.
I have to say that I am not disappointed as I find this flower much more attractive than the "other" calceolus flowers that I've seen on the web. However, my OCD tendencies require that I know the name of this species. Can anyone help?
