I had this for about a 2 years and finally got it to flower. I had no clue what it is so I started research online.
Plant is about 6" tall, and the blooms are about 3/4". It looks like Ascocentrum but most of them are orangish but this is light blue/purple with darker blue lip (see pictures)... could it be Ascocentrum christiansonianum? But those don't have their lip so blue...
Hmm... So I dont know... any ideas?
Thank you!

Thank you...It does look like Vanda lilacina, but doesnt have it's column (the nose) yellow but rather dark blue/purple and overall bloom look more lilac. Is that a hybrid perhaps? Or Vanda lilacina have naturally occurring variations?

After some more browsing....
Could it be Vanda coerulescens? Most of the pictures of V. coerulescens i found are more bluish than mine, but some look spot on.

It could be Vanda coerulescens, but the shape looks wrong, and that species usually has a yellow collumn and anther cap. It could also be a hybrid.

Yes, the shape of labellum looks different so it is not V. coerulescens. V.lilacina shape looks very like mine but column is white with yellow tip (pollen cup??), mine is purple with dark purple tip.
Could it still be considered V.lilacina?

Thank you! And thanks to Lambelkid for identifying it. I though the plant might be from Vanda alliance but i wouldn't guess it is a vanda. I am still not completely sure that is Vanda lilacina (perhaps hybrid?) but it sound close enough to put on a label. (I have a New Year resolution - no more tagless plants)
