Question ID for orchid that blooms only once in 10 yrs

This my first post and it may sound strange. I was given and orchid and told that it bloom one in 10-15 years. The tag is hard to read but here goes:
not(st)childiam - (B(r)noo x Charles E)
The letters in parenthesis are questionable.

My hope is that someone may be able to ID this Orchid.
It was doing fine now one of the leaves just limped down.

Thank you so much,

It's a multifloral paph species. Paph rothschildianum ("Borneo" x "Charles E")

depending on the size of the plant you have, you probably don't need to wait 10 years for it to bloom! This species loves high light, warm conditions and high humidity. Good luck!

Jorch is correct. If you have to wait that long for the plant to bloom-- you were badly misinformed. Should bloom each year upon maturity ( 5-7 years at most) .

Any roth' that has a direct link to "Charles E " doesn't surprise me that it takes that long to flower.
"Charles E " is renowned as being the hardest roth' to flower of all time. I don't think you were mislead.

What the others have said is correct, even though somewhat contradictory. Paphiopedilum rothschildianum of some breeding lines is notoriously difficult to bloom, and might take 10 or more years to bloom the first time and then at least 3-5 years between flowerings after that. Others might bloom at 5 years and every year after that if grown well. None are small plants at maturity. Yours is probably closer to the 10+ scheme, but can be magnificently worth the wait.

Culture information for this species should be easy to find. Do your best and be patient.

Older leaves die eventually. Without more description of the size and condition of your plant and your growing conditions, and a picture if possible, I can't say if your limp leaf is a problem or not.
