I purchased this as one of my first orchids with a phalaenopsis and a miltassia but I do not know what this orchid is. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

Looks nice. Yes, as WhiteRabit said, it is a Phalaenopsis.

it looks like it could be a doritaenopsis, or dtps. a dtps, is a cross between a phalaenopsis and a doritis. it has the same culture as a phal so either way its the same culture
