Hi all you orchid lovers,This Cymbidium has small 2in by 2in flowers green with white. I think it is a miniature form with some white varigation in its leaves. Does any recognize or think this may be a warm grower hybrid?

Vickie,

This appears to be one of many Asian mericlones with no name distributed throughout the US market. Most miniature cymbidiums tend to be more tolerant of continued warm temperatures and will spike at higher temps too, IF the humidity is kept at or above 50%.

I think Roy you were the one that nailed it. I looked it up by that name and the description and pictures were right on. Thanks for your help.

Vickie

I could show you at least 3 other crosses that would match the photo of your plant. The variegation in the foliage supports my original posting. You have never said where you obtained this plant, box store, private grower or orchid show. That would go a long way toward finding its provenance.

Putting names on plants with no proof, is and will be a continuing problem in the orchid world.
