unknown cymbidium

hi everyone,
i just bought this cym, and i have a feeling that it could be cym. golden elf, or a hybrid of it, but im not too sure. so if anyone can give me a little info, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well it's a wonderful colour. It does look a lot like Cym. Golden Elf but I don't know for certain.

Hi Stefan, I read on the Aussie group that you live south of Perth, I live in Rockingham. Which suburb are you in?

i also live in south perth, kwinana. i got this cym at a florist near spearwood. there should be some club shows comming up soon. there is a good one in kwinana round may or june. ill let you know for sure when i find out

Thanks Stefan that would be great. There used to be a show in Rockingham City shopping centre but it got to be too expensive to hire the area.

Haven't been to one in Kwinana before.

This may be a bit late but I was just browsing the Ident Forum and saw your post. Your plant may be a hybrid of Cym. Golden Elf but it is not a Golden Elf. The lip is too broad and lacks the recurving of the Golden Elf, and the petals are too flat. Interesting cross, however.

i thoguht that aswell. im thinking its a type of enzan summer, because they are a hybrid of cym. golden elf, but i am not to sure, i think ill just be contempt with it been a nice flower.
