Question ID request for two orchids please

Hello,

Today I bought three orchids. One of them is a Berry Oda, it's fine with that.

In another of them I can guess the name I have found to be for the plant, but I need a confirmation.

On the label is written: Miltassia Peggy and it is the following orchid:

After a search I found that it might be the Miltassia 'Peggy Ruth Carpenter' or Beallara 'Peggy Ruth Carpenter'. I have seen the same flower under these two names. I guess the genus must have changed from Miltassia to Beallara, am I guessing correct?

The third orchid is the one I couldn't find ANY information at all.

At the label it was written: Oncidium Von Holm and it's the following orchid:

I have also found a forum topic elsewhere with the same problem and the guy there had bought it from the same seller as me but for some reason there is a problem with registrations there.

Do you have any idea??

what you have are unregistered hybrids. the names were intended to sound like popular hybrids, in order to increase sales. since the company that produced them is not providing accurate information, you will never be able to positively ID them.

Beallara Peggy Ruth Carpenter has never been considered a Miltassia.

buying only from reputable dealers would solve the problem. Why should a vendor register a thing they intend to sell as a throw-away pot plant. If you want to actually have a clue about the things you grow, don't buy from chain stores.

They are not just vendors. They also sell orchids to garden centers and they export to France!

How could I imagine that it's gonna be like that from a family business that sells wholesale here in Netherlands and in France.

They are so ignorant and careless that they don't even care to protect their name, it's a family business!

Just to help others who might have the same headache, let's update this thread with the information that I found for the second orchid.
The second one:

is the Oncidium (ornithorhyncum) Sharry Baby 'Yellow Flash' hybrid orchid.

As for the 1st one:

I have found that probably is the Beallara 'Peggy Ruth Carpenter'.

I'm afraid not. There is no registered hybrid with that name. The information you found is from another vendor that does not bother to get the correct names for their plants. It might be Oncidium Yellow Flash, which is a hybrid of Oncidium Sharry Baby.
Oncidium ornithorhynchum is a species, not a hybrid.

you're probably right about that one, but there's no way to tell for sure.

Yeap! I have removed the word ornithorhyncum thanks for the correction!

Hi Grigoris,
Cameleon certainly is not a family business. It's a cooperation from several big commercial nursery's. They export also to the UK, to Germany, Greece and many other countries in the EU. Even in the Northern countries like Sweden you can find their plants.

Can you remember that years ago the Dutch tomatoes got the nick name 'Wasser Bomben (German, translated to English as Water bombs). Not for nothing on German board products from Cameleon and some other nursery's "Holland ware", and they refer sometimes in the same sentence to the water bombs.

I've bought a NOID, prolly an Epc. that looks like Epc. Plicaboa that was labeled as Dendrobium. The tag also said: Cameleon orchids.

I also bought a Dendrobium that was labeled as Berry Oda but almost certain is x delicatum or very closed related to it. Again from Cameleon.

But, in my opinion you found 2 beautiful orchids, even when they remain NOID's. I totally understand why you bought them - and your pictures are splendid!

Nicole
PS Just found a remarkable thread in an other forum. I think it's about one of your plants
