At first glance, I thought it was a succulent that had erroneously found its way into the orchid section of my local box discount store. Symmetric short fleshy leaves, twenty four inch erect stalks, and clusters of 1 to 2 inch blooms. Rainy today and the yellow blooms were like a neon beacon. I moved closer to find the tag: “orchid.”
Well, I have nothing against noids. However, without some identification….at least the genus…..I have no starting point from which to at least attempt to provide the cultural environment that the plant wants. So, for the plant’s welfare and my curiosity, I would sure appreciate any thoughts on its identification and cultural requirements.

agreed, reed stem epidendrum. Bright light, copious amounts of water, high temps. Very pretty choice! Enjoy.
