I bought 5 for a U.S. dollar four seem to have made it One i suspect got taken away for a birds nest.

These roots look as though they could be a phalaenopsis but no leaves! Appears very dehydrated to me. How about some moss around it to retain a little moisture? Sorry, I'm no help!

there are some decidiuos (?) or leafless phal species - so it is a possibility

definately Chiloschista. the roots on leafless phals look a lot different. I can post a comparison photo if you want.
